Series of One River, Two Banks Album
The series of One River, Two Banks Album represents my "rethinking" of the traditional mounting format known as the album leaf. Originally an object meant to be held in the hand, the album leaf emphasizes privacy and a sense of temporality in its narrative. However, when the album leaf is enlarged to a non-portable scale, the relationship between its form, the pictorial content, and the surrounding space undergoes a fundamental transformation.
 
This series enlarges the traditional folded album into an installation format, employing a "one river, two banks" composition to present the oppositional relationship between the two banks. Viewers are no longer confined to the unidirectional perspective of a traditional album; instead, they can move around, observe, and perceive the work from multiple vantage points. This approach transforms the inherent limitations of a "private medium" into an experience guided by the viewer's own consciousness.

此系列是我對冊頁這種傳統裝裱形式的「再思考」。冊頁本為掌中之物，講求私密性與敘事的時間性。然而，當冊頁被放大至非可携的尺寸時，其自身形式與畫面內容、環境空間的關係，便產生了根本性的轉變。

此系列將傳統摺裝冊頁放大為裝置形式，並以「一河兩岸」的佈局，呈現兩岸之間的對立關係。觀者不再受限於傳統冊頁的單向觀看視角，而是得以從多方位遊走、觀賞和感知，將原本屬於「私密媒材」的限制，轉化為觀者自主的意識。
